Direct Connect allows customers to create a dedicated connection between their network and Amazon Web Services: reducing their network costs, increasing bandwidth throughput, and providing a consistent network experience across multiple virtual interfaces.
AWS is located in 13 geographical "regions": US East (Northern Virginia), US West (northern California), US West (Oregon), Brazil (São Paulo), European Union (Ireland and Germany), South Asia (Mumbai), Southeast Asia (Singapore), East Asia (Tokyo, Seoul, Beijing) and Australia (Sydney).
Currently MTX Services provides connections in EU Frankfurt (eu-central-1). Connections in EU (Ireland) and Asia Pacific (Singapore) will be available soon.
